Public Hearings and Workshops
In addition to their monthly and annual meetings, South Indian River Water Control District holds public hearings on the budget and capital improvement projects, as well as workshops on a variety of topics.
Public Hearings
The District holds a public hearing each year in August for the Annual Budget. This year's Annual Budget Hearing was held on August 15, 2024.
In addition, public hearings are held for landowner-initiated improvement projects that have been approved by referendum. Two public hearings are required for each proposed Plan of Improvement prior to the Board of Supervisors authorizing the District Engineer to proceed. All the landowners affected by a Plan of Improvement receive notice of the hearings through first-class mail and the notices will be published in the local paper.
Any scheduled public hearings will be listed on this page of the website. Please check back from time to time for updates.
Workshops
From time to time, the Board of Supervisors may conduct in-depth workshops on a variety of topics, such as policy changes, roadways, petitions, and more. As with the District's monthly and annual meetings, landowners are welcome to attend workshops. If a workshop is scheduled, we will list it here.
